This design was inspired by a trip to Cambodia. Sitting in a cafe in downtown Phnom Penh I was struck by the beauty of the tables. The obviously recycled and repurposed table legs were matched with magically pristine solid timber tops showcasing the spectacular local timbers. This table borrows from that design aesthetic by using a distressed paint effect on the base coupled with a solid timber top. The careful application and then gentle and selective removal of layers of paint gives the piece a rustic, vintage look as though this is a piece of furniture with a very long history.
A range of timbers can be selected for the table top including Australian Blackwood, Victorian Ash and recycled Messamate. Other timbers can be arranged by negotiation with costs based on current market rates.

This product is finished using a mix of paints to deliver a rustic, naturally worn look. On request it can be delivered in a natural timber finish.
